The CoreFleet owner program

Income potential without becoming the rental manager.

CoreFleet handles the front-to-back operation while you retain ownership of your vehicle. Qualified vehicles may generate approximately $600–$800 in monthly owner distributions while actively rented, depending on rental rate, collections and availability.

What CoreFleet manages

We handle the recurring work.

Our role is to operate the rental relationship so owners do not have to advertise, screen, collect or monitor the vehicle themselves.

A

Market and place

We fund standard fleet advertising, respond to leads and locate prospective renters.

V

Vet the renter

We validate identity and licensing, conduct screening and verify submitted information.

M

Manage the rental

We administer agreements, collect weekly payments, monitor GPS and coordinate issues.

Owner responsibilities

You own the vehicle. You fund its ownership costs.

CoreFleet coordinates maintenance and breakdowns, but the vehicle owner remains financially responsible.

  • Mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance
  • Tires, brakes and normal wear
  • Registration and required inspections
  • Off-rental insurance coverage for the vehicle during periods between renters
  • GPS subscription
  • Applicable deductibles, loan payments and taxes
  • Lost income during mechanical or accident downtime

Program fees

Simple, disclosed pricing.

The CoreFleet management fee applies only while the vehicle is actively rented. Standard fleet advertising is included.

InsuranceRenter-provided, verified

The $595 onboarding fee covers eligibility processing, inspection, GPS equipment and installation, condition documentation, photography and account setup.

Insurance is not included and is not charged to the owner. Every renter must carry their own full-coverage insurance, verified through Wheelbase before the rental and re-verified at every renewal.

Owner FAQ

Questions owners ask.

Straight answers on insurance, cost, eligibility and what stays your responsibility.

How is insurance handled?

Insurance is not included by CoreFleet. Every renter must carry their own full-coverage insurance — liability and collision — in their own name, verified through Wheelbase before the rental begins and re-verified at every renewal. If a renter's coverage cannot be verified, there is no rental. As the owner, you are responsible only for off-rental coverage on your vehicle for periods between renters, and CoreFleet charges you no insurance fee.

What does onboarding cost, and what does it cover?

Onboarding is a one-time $595 fee, paid up front for every vehicle entering the platform. It covers eligibility processing, inspection, GPS equipment and installation, condition documentation, photography and account setup.

What vehicles qualify?

Required: 2018 model year or newer, generally 100,000 miles or less, a clean unbranded title, no dashboard warning lights, current registration and working A/C, and the vehicle must pass CoreFleet's inspection. Preferred: 2019 model year or newer and under 85,000 miles.

What am I responsible for as the owner?

Mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance; tires, brakes and normal wear; registration and required inspections; off-rental insurance coverage for the vehicle during periods between renters; the GPS subscription; applicable deductibles, loan payments and taxes; and lost income during mechanical or accident downtime.

Is income guaranteed?

No. Income is not guaranteed. Qualified vehicles may generate approximately $600–$800 in monthly owner distributions while actively rented. Actual distributions depend on rent collected, rental rate, vehicle availability, renter performance and downtime. Maintenance, repairs, financing, depreciation and taxes reduce the owner's actual profit.

How and when do I get paid?

Owner distributions are paid monthly from rent actually collected while your vehicle is actively rented. CoreFleet collects the weekly rent, deducts the $150-per-rented-week management fee and the $22-per-month GPS subscription, and distributes the remainder to you. Qualified vehicles typically generate approximately $600–$800 per month in owner distributions while actively rented. Income is not guaranteed.

What does CoreFleet do for the management fee?

Everything a rental operator does: fleet advertising, responding to renter inquiries, identity and license verification and screening, rental agreements, weekly payment collection, GPS monitoring, maintenance coordination and handling renter issues — so you never advertise, screen, collect or chase payments yourself.

What happens if a renter damages my vehicle?

The renter is contractually responsible for damage to the vehicle and for their own insurance deductible. Every renter carries verified full-coverage insurance in their own name, which is the primary coverage during the rental, and the security deposit on managed vehicles is sized to the renter's deductible. CoreFleet coordinates the claim and repair process. As the owner, you keep off-rental coverage on the vehicle for periods between renters.

What if a renter stops paying?

CoreFleet manages collections directly — you never chase a renter for money. Every vehicle carries GPS monitoring, so the vehicle can be located, and CoreFleet handles the recovery process when a rental goes bad.

Is my vehicle tracked?

Yes. GPS equipment is installed during onboarding and monitored by CoreFleet for the life of the placement. Tracking supports oversight of the vehicle, payment enforcement and recovery if a renter stops paying or fails to return the vehicle.

Do I keep my title?

Yes. The title stays in your name and you remain the legal owner of the vehicle at all times. CoreFleet manages the rental operation — advertising, renters, payments and monitoring — while ownership, financing and taxes stay with you.

What if my vehicle is not rented for a stretch?

The management fee applies only while the vehicle is actively rented — you are never charged a management fee for an unrented week. The $22-per-month GPS subscription continues while the vehicle is on the platform. CoreFleet works to place qualified vehicles quickly, but placement time and income are not guaranteed, and downtime risk stays with the owner.

Who pays for repairs and maintenance?

The owner funds mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, tires, brakes and normal wear. CoreFleet coordinates the work — scheduling, shops and communication with the renter — so issues get handled without you managing them day to day.

How do I get started?

Submit the eligibility form on the Vehicle Requirements page. CoreFleet reviews your vehicle information, schedules the inspection, and — once the vehicle is approved and the $595 onboarding is complete — installs the GPS, documents the vehicle's condition with photographs, sets up your account and begins advertising for a renter.
